I am, and have always been, a carnivore. So when an old friend of the family asked me to sell his grass-fed, grass-finished beef, I jumped at the chance. I had access to ample amounts of ground beef, and wanted an effective way to present it to people. A trainer with whom I worked suggested that I make jerky from ground beef. As an athlete, a mom, and someone always on the go, jerky was the best possible fit for my needs.
My energy and thoughts are directed toward helping others understand the health benefits of grass-fed, grass-finished beef. Our beef starts and finishes on Shoestring Cattle Company, a ranch in the foothills of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range in Colorado. I feel so fortunate to have found a way of life that involves better nutrition, and to have the opportunity to share that with others.
